Athea Boyes was born in Vancouver BC and raised in Whistler and Squamish BC. As a child she was surrounded by artists, carpenters and athletes which helped define her unique skill set.

Athea joined the film industry at 17 years old and art directed her first car commercial for Subaru at 18 years old. During her rise in commercials she worked in long format and music videos. She has dedicated her entire life to film and television.

She attended BCIT for interior design where she developed the beginning concepts of mood boards and presentations and furniture design and attended Emily Carr to develop her painting skills and finally went to Langara college to brush up on furniture design.

She is now a Leo award winner for production design, professional skier, published artist, avid hiker, mountain lover and hobbies include travelling around the globe soaking up creative content.

She is an excellent choice for all commercials and print ADs as she has extensive experience and has worked with many of the top commercial Directors and Photographers in the world.
